Description:

• Create and configure new Oracle environments as required by business projects.
• Ensure the ongoing operations of the Oracle backup/recovery solution. Perform database copies as needed by the business areas and as validated by Information Resource Management.
• Provide capacity and performance tuning at the Oracle level and interface with other areas to provide a global view.
• Ensure incident and problem follow-up and resolution at the Oracle level. If necessary escalate database problems to the suppliers.
• Implement release management proactively with project owners.
• Define the monitoring parameters at the Oracle level and ensure that the 1st level of support has all the information required to handle Oracle alerts.
• Ensure that all environments are secure and SOX compliant.
• Ensure that all internal ING processes are applied and documented properly.
• Provide database reports as required by the business in the context of SLAs or by management.
• Implement database related changes as needed and according to ING internal processes

Experience:

• Required knowledge: You have a good technical knowledge of the Oracle platform (Oracle RDBMS (9iR2 and 10gR2). You are able to operate critically the banks Oracle environment and to propose new approaches and features.You are familiar with the various processes, ITIL, how they are implemented and how to ensure that they are correctly applied. The change management process is the most critical one to apply.
• Desired knowledge: Knowledge of Oracle RMAN is a plus.
