Description:

The test engineer is responsible for describing test cases and executing them. He/she analyses the test results and reports defects in the defect registration system. He/she assists the developers in reproducing the defect and performs the necessary retests & regression tests. During the user acceptance tests he/she analysis the defects found by the end-users and tries to reproduce them on the system test environment. He/she assists the end-users in the execution of their tests. He reports the progress of the work directly to the project leader and the test manager, and for larger projects, to the senior test professional who was assigned to the project.

Activities:

• Development of test scenarios/cases
• Identification and preparation of the test data
• Test execution including retests & regression tests
• Defect reporting & analysis
• Assistance of the end-users in test execution

Experience:

• in testing: 2 year(s) or more
• in IT: 2 year(s) or more
• Education: Bachelor in ICT or higher (or similar due to practical experience)

Knowledge:

• test methodology (2 year(s)) - preferably ISEB/ISTQB certified
• Very good knowledge of SQL (Oracle)
• Experience with a test management tool
• Unix
• Datawarehouse projects (preferably)
• Business Objects - reporting only (preferably)
• Experience in a financial environment (preferably)
• Experience with Business Intelligence (preferably)

Language:

Mother tongue:NL or FR
Other Languages: EN + comprehension of the other language
