- Project leader for phase II and III of the J2EE Hosting Service.
- The Project leader will create project briefs, introduce them into the ING Governance process, do the follow up to obtain approval or make necessary iterations to obtain it.
- In execution phase, he will do prioritization, task assignement, follow up, status reports, exception reports, management reports on the project. When applicable, he manages the
project together with the external service providers who implement the deliverables.
- The Project leader also provides significant expert contribution to the project deliverables, be it via technical writing or technical workshop participation. Not only is he a facilitator but he uses his background to be also a contributor of ideas to improve the solutions. This requires understanding of the issues to solve and the technologies involved.
- The different sub-projects cover completely different areas, like monitoring (web application monitoring, security proxies monitoring, J2EE application deep-dive troubleshooting tool), service enablement (introduction into the ING service catalog, definition of cost back-charging methods, capacity management, service level reporting, project in-take process, etc + adaptation of the organizational processes impacted by the new solutions), developer guidelines (J2EE patterns/anti-patterns, best practices, etc from an infrastructure perspective), etc.Project

Responsibility: |
- Support changes in the primary and secondary business processes by performing project management for (multi-disciplinary) IT projects.
- Is responsible for setting up and managing the project team;
- Is responsible for the project realization within the constraints imposed; v
- Translates policy documents into project plans for IT projects;
- Ensures the acceptance and implementation of the project plan in consultation with future users;
- Draws up a plan of approach, makes cost estimates and draws up time schedules for realizing (complex) projects including specifying the personnel and material consequences;
- Monitors, evaluates and reports on the management aspects of (multi-disciplinary) projects;
- Harmonizes the (status of) the execution and implementation of ongoing projects with the customers.
- Relevant training in the area of IT and project management;
- Management, verbal and written communication skills;
- Practical knowledge of the primary and secondary business processes;
- Knowledge and experience in the domains of IT projects and project management;
- Knowledge of change management;
- Experience in IT project organizations, structured work and documentation.
