Description:

• To gather and specify the needs as regards services for architecture for the projects in progress.
• To analyze the architectural components. To ensure the creation of components architectural reusable (independently of the business), adaptable, evolutionary and able to undergo rises in load. To take care of the coherence of the various architectural components between them.
• To work out the architecture of application, technical architecture and the detailed logic of application in collaboration with System Engineers and Technical Architects , by possibly carrying out an integration with external software.
• To define the limits of the responsibilities for each application so as to avoid conflicts and redundancies.
• To gather and reconcile the opinions of the interested parts in order to obtain an agreement on the optimal solution to implement. You take care to meet the needs for the business as well as possible and to offer the best cost-benefit ratio based on the ING standards.

Responsibility:

Solutionist should have the responsibility of the LPAD (Logical and Physical Architecture Design) delivery for projects assigned to him.

• Creation: The solutionist should be responsible for the LPAD creation, but he won’t be necessary the (main) author of the LPAD. His contribution can be seen as followed:
  • Creation of LPAD - The solutionist is the author of the complete LPAD
  • Coaching of external resource during LPAD redaction External resources are available for the redaction of LPADs. These resources are coached by the solutionist who will provide the necessary input to compose the LPAD. This coaching is estimated to be rather intense at first but will gain in flexibility according to the maturity of the external resource.
  • Coaching of technical project member. The project has its own technical resource which is accountable for the LPAD redaction. This resource is coached by the solutionist during the composition of the LPAD and the definition of the infra solution for the concerned project.
• Requirement gathering / Solution proposals. The solutionist will attend meetings with the project team to obtain all necessary requirements and to propose a solution. These informations will be used to complete the LPAD. The author of the LPAD, either external resource or project member, can attend these meetings to assist the solutionist.
• Knowledge exchange with Specialists. The solutionist will maintain close contacts with engineering and stimulate the information exchange concerning the standard products and their specific properties, which are used for the composition of all solutions delivered. This can occur in the format of workshops, presentations or top-level trainings.

  • Connectivity: WMQ, SOA, XFB, EAI

• You are able to make the abstraction of business requirements in order to set up a technical requirement document
• You are a good communicator and can convince the technical specialists
• You have enough experience to predict the ‘pro and cons’ of a technical architecture
• You have a knowledge of complex environments with multi systems, multi technologies and problems of connectivity (SOA, file transfer, messaging)
