Our customer is currently looking for a senior, IT project leader capable of managing a series of parallel projects within Financial Markets. The portfolio of projects consists of a series of IT projects on ING’s FX / MM Rates platform. The workload of the project leader is estimated at full time.

Knowledge:

• A senior, experienced project leader (PL) is required, because of the following challenges:
  • Projects are inter-domain and inter-department. PL must assure overall consistency and coordination up to the implementation in the data center
  • Project team members may not be 100% dedicated to the projects
  • exact control of execution of the project is requires to reach the goal (missing one of the projects reduces the lot of the earned value of the other projects)
  • fast track into current available PID material in order to finetune and deliver solid project plans
  • guarantee business continuity whilst functionality is migrated to the target platform
• The project involves Repo, Forex, bookings activities and is primarily Backoffice oriented. Knowledge on these products and Financial Markets BO operations is a must.

Tasks:

• planning, capacity management, risk management and delivery
• coordinate and assure overall consistency.
• management of the critical path per project to arrive at a controlled execution
• budget follow up
• project progress follow up and reporting
• quality assurance

Mission:

The goal of the project is to migrate functionalities of a legacy FM integrated application onto other FM integrated platforms. The later, need partially to be built. The ultimate goal of the project is to stop the legacy application and the hardware platform on which it is running. Analysis till date arrives at a total number of roughly 1500 mdays for the execution of these projects.
