The bank is looking after a bachelor or master in ITC strongly interested in Network technologies like firewalls, routers, proxy servers, Intrusion Protection Systems, load-balancers. This position will make you responsible for the design and implementation of external connections and data networks by means of Cisco routers and switches, Juniper/Netscreen/Nokia/Checkpoint firewalls and proxy servers, according to the specifications and compliance guidelines.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge, experience or strong interest in the following products and brands:
  • Products : Routers, Switches, Firewalls, IDS
  • Brands : Cisco, Juniper, Netscreen, Nokia
• Education/degree:
  • Civil or industrial engineer in ITC or Master of Information Technology
  • Basic knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, network protocols and network security aspects.
• Personnel profile
  • Your sense of initiative, perseverance and decisiveness show your marked result-oriented
  • You are communicative and able to present concepts and information in a structured and clear manner and to convey ideas with the necessary diplomacy.
  • You are a real team player.

Responsibilities:

• Identification and quantification of network system goals,
• Creation of alternative system design concepts and keep up to date with the technological evolution in this domain (innovation),
• Performance of network design trades,
• Selection and implementation of the best design,
• Verification that the design is properly built and integrated,
• Post-implementation assessment of how well the system meets (or met) the goals.
• Support and guarantee the stability and the correct operations of ING’s network infrastructure in Belgium.
• Maintain contacts with members of other departments within the bank such as operational services or development teams both in Belgium and in the Netherlands

Ability to speak, read and write French and/or Dutch fluently and English
