Description:

Ops and IT banking are rolling out NetIQ security monitoring across business critical infrastructure and applications. A delivery project manager is required to manage the process from requirements gathering, creation of rule sets for monitoring via an offshore third party, testing and forecasting volumes for alerts for capacity planning.

Experience:

Senior +5

Knowledge:

• Degree or masters in an IT or computer science subject desirable
• Prince2 or PMP qualification advantageous
• CISSP, CISA, ISSEP or Security+ qualification advantageous
• At least 5 years experience of project management in IT
• Experience managing a software development lifecycle from requirements gathering, development, testing and delivery to production
• Experience working with distributed teams and third party vendors, preferably knowledge of working with India
• Ability to run multiple projects at one time
• Experience in banking environment desirable but not essential
• Sound understanding and appreciation for control vulnerabilities within application, server, middleware and database architectures
• Experience with Sarbanes Oxley and Basel II, or regulatory requirements on systems
• Experience with NetIQ monitoring highly desirable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with good negotiation and persuasion skills and the ability to coach others on concepts of security monitoring
• Experience writing and delivering presentations
• Ability to write white papers and presentations
• Must be based in Brussels Monday to Friday; local hires preferred

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with the risk managers, application owners, technical owners in a consultative manner to guide the interpretation of security monitoring of privilege activities specific to a given asset: application, database, middleware, operating system, infrastructure, so that monitoring requirements can be clearly defined by the client
• Facilitate meetings to ensure completion and QA sign off of client requirements for security monitoring
• Facilitate any technical support for the impact assessment so the client can create a detailed project plan for any remedial actions for logging or control processes for a given asset (application, operating system, middleware, infrastructure)
• Ensure the impact assessment is completed to forecast volumes of alerts so that the security monitoring centre can plan capacity on the technical platform and with support resources
• Deliver development packages to the offshore development centre and ensure the security monitoring rule sets and procedures received are signed off by QA
• Work with the client to ensure change management processes are followed to ensure deployment of the NetIQ monitoring agents on the testing and later the production environments
• Facilitate the testing of rule sets and procedures with all relevant parties to get sign off from the test environments and from pre live testing on the production environment
• Ensure regular meetings with the various functional groups who will deliver the security monitoring solution in order to confirm status and address risks and issues that might affect project timelines, quality or cost
• Create regular reports for milestone status, and for risk and issue management
• Contribute to documentation of security monitoring policies and creation of white papers as required
