Description:

In the context of a major program, Fortis IT is establishing a new cross border (BeNeLux) organization & the associated processes. We are actively searching a Control/M: Scheduling administrator or engineer on AIX, Windows, I-Series (and possibly Mainframe). To support both the QA and the Production platform.

Knowledge:

• Bachelor or Master degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience acquired on the field
• Stress-resistant, good communicator (written and spoken), dynamic, pro-active, flexible, collaborative, able to and willing to learn, client oriented, precision, result oriented
• Analytical, able to summarize complex situations in simple sentences, able to communicate the results.
• Open minded, open to changes, patient
• Control/M Certified Engineer
• Professional experience Control/M scheduler on AIX, Windows, I-Series
• Expertise in Windows (incl. security)
• Scripting logic
• Development Languages: Java, C
• Infrastructure: DNS, Hostfiles,
• Protocols: HTTP, TCP/IP
• DB: Oracle DB
• Mainframe knowledge is a serious plus
• Ability to understand and communicate with Architects, projectleaders and endusers

Objective:

Applications are more and more demanding to run batch in an organised and secured way. The scheduler needs to be stable and running 24/24 and 7/7 without any interruptions. Solutions and changes have to be tested and validated.

The job consists of:

• administrating the software and DB of Control/M
• prepare changes and control installations
• support all kind of demands
• support tools linked to the scheduler
• write documentation
• train users
• Control & create technical batch jobs

Language:

Sound knowledge of English , French and/or Dutch

Duration:

1 year with possible extension.
