Title:

Test coordinator for the ADAPT-A project

Location:

Brussels (near Central Station). Occasional travels to the Netherlands and Luxembourg

Description:

  • Validate the approach of Unit tests and perform quality checks on these unit tests at an early stage
  • Liaising with the project manager advising on the level of testing required
  • Liaising with client to align UAT testing & expectations, as well as processes & acceptance criteria alignment.
  • Creation of the master test plan
  • Design & execution of test scenarios based on technical project specifications (business requirements, use cases, supplementary specs, architecture, components designs, …)
  • Creating and executing test scripts for integration, functional & regressions tests.
  • Assist project manager in defining quality goals and acceptance criteria
  • Align testing activities with activities of Requirements management and Configuration management;
  • Assure the “testability” of the features to be implemented;
  • Escalation of subjects not resolved in project and risks with high weight;
  • Monitor the testing activities in terms of Scope, Schedule, Cost, Actions, risks and issues, Resources, Quality.
  • Follow-up of progress of testing activities and take appropriate actions when needed;
  • Apply automated testing when possible;
  • Ensuring accuracy of system defect data and that the project manager is made fully aware of any known deficiencies with software
  • Championing and encouraging adherence to agreed testing methods
  • Providing input into the improvement of existing testing methods in collaboration with the IAM IST Project Manager
  • Reports test & QA results

Skills:

  • Eye for detail
  • Rigorous in his execution of test scenarios & defect reporting
  • Team player
  • Experience in IT Security / IAM = Identity & Access Management is an advantage
  • Some level development tool skills e.g. XML, SQL, …
  • Proven professional experience with (application testing) methodologies (TMAP NEXT, PRINCE2, …)
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple applications and test teams
  • Excellent knowledge of the development life cycle
  • Experience of monitoring and progressing faults through a fault logging system ( Quality Center )

Language:

Sound knowledge of English and French, moreover passive knowledge of Dutch is an advantage

Duration:

6 months to cover the first implementation phase of the project. Mission may be eventually extended afterwards, depending on the project evolution.
