Websphere Infrastructure Expert

Location:

Brussels (near Central Station).

Description:

The WebSphere team is responsible for all the day to day and project activities related to installing and monitoring IBM WebSphere servers on the AIX platform. The Team is also responsible for the build of the guidelines and the architecture of the websphere infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrate strong, problem solving, communicative, organizational, time management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently, to positively handle conflicts, and to work in a fast paced and complex environment.
• Display detail-oriented approach to work.
• 3 years experience with AIX or another Unix version.
• 3 years experience with IBM WebSphere application server.
• Must have a strong knowledge of IBM Websphere Application for the following topics: Installation, security, monitoring, debugging and of Unix shell scripting.
• Knowledge of IBM Webphere Portal Server, Ant and Knowledge of Process server are a plus.

Objective:

• Installs, configures, and maintains multiple WebSphere servers.
• Develops scripts, provides documentation and procedures.
• Provides support to (internal) projects.
• Ensures security and maintains a high level of systems availability.
• Integration of Packages in the Websphere Infrastructure.
• Participation in Level-3 support with standby and on-call (outside standard office hours).

Language:

English required. French or Dutch required.

6 months with possible extension
