Middleware and Framework Engineer – Brussels The team is responsible to design, develop and support integration solutions between business applications and various operating systems. While the core activity resides on IBM mainframe, we also provide communication and messaging services on all platforms existing(Unix, Windows, Tandem, z/OS). Those solutions are made of Middleware software - like MQ Series, File Transfer Monitors, CICS, etc - and Frameworks. Frameworks are guidelines and API streamlining business applications' usage of underneath technology. Specifically, Frameworks are put in place to optimize application development by rationalizing their integration.

Your Role: In this role you will

• design new solutions and review existing implementation,
• provide expertise, training, guidelines and support to application developers,
• build, test and maintain our Middleware,
• support our Middleware in test/development/production environments as 2nd and 3rd level of support

We are looking for a senior expert on Mainframe Middleware interested to raise team’s efficiency in release Management, support and application integration.

Required Skills:

• You have more than 5 years proven experience as a system engineer dealing with CICS and MQ Series.
• Programming skills in Cobol and PL/I is an asset.
• You have strong analytical skills, you recognize underlying issues and problems, you can make root-cause/impact analysis to define a solution and properly document the conclusion.
• You like to work in a structural information organization and have a self-learning attitude to learn new tools and committed to delivery and increasing team’s efficiency.
• You have good team spirit, a pro-active mindset and an effective approach to achieve objectives.

Languages:

You have good knowledge of English, French is an asset.
