Goal:

As Software Design Engineer – video streaming, you will integrate & synchronize the audio &video traffic in the streaming layers of the Garlic Solution.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Analyze, define & select the scalable video streamer for our Garlic solution
• Integrate the video encoder (H.264, MPEG2) and streaming layers
• Integrate & synchronize Audio & Video in the streaming layers
• Hands-on validation & integration of the Garlic Solution on the target server
• Contribute to system level debug work in cooperation with the hardware designers,application design & integration engineers

Required Skills:

Technical background and experience:

• Master’s degree in (applied) engineering sciences (Electronic engineering or Telecom)
• Hands-on experience in network integration (client/server environment)
• Experience with MPEG2 systems (MPEG2-TS, RTP and streaming protocols likeHTTP, RTSP, …
• Programming in C/C++ & scripting languages
• You like to experiment in a Linux environment (user & kernel space)
